Acceptable Use Policy
Version 2026-08-01
What may not be sold or done through a Tokolane storefront. This list is driven as much by card-network rules as by law: a breach can cost Tokolane its own payment processing, so enforcement is immediate.
Prohibited products and services
- Weapons, ammunition, explosives, and their components.
- Controlled substances, drug paraphernalia, and unapproved pharmaceuticals.
- Counterfeit goods and anything infringing someone else's trade mark or copyright.
- Adult content and services.
- Tobacco, vaping products, and cannabis or CBD in any form.
- Ingestible supplements making health claims.
- Live animals and protected wildlife products.
- Financial instruments, cryptocurrency, gift cards resold at a discount, and money-transfer services.
- Gambling, lotteries, and games of chance.
- Multi-level marketing, get-rich-quick schemes, and anything promising guaranteed returns.
- Stolen goods, hacked accounts, and credential dumps.
Prohibited conduct
- Misrepresenting who you are, what you sell, or where you ship from.
- Processing payments for a business other than the one verified with Stripe.
- Deceptive pricing, hidden subscriptions, or negative-option billing.
- Circumventing suspension by opening another store.
- Attacking, probing, or overloading the platform.
Restricted with prior approval
Alcohol, ticketing and resale, subscription boxes, digital goods with licensing constraints, and anything age-restricted. [Counsel / operations: define the approval process before allowing these.]
Enforcement
Suspected breaches lead to immediate suspension of the storefront while we review. Confirmed breaches lead to termination. Where we are required to, we report to payment networks and to the relevant authorities.
Reporting
Report a store you believe breaches this policy to abuse@tokolane.com. Intellectual-property claims go to our designated agent. [Counsel: register a DMCA agent with the US Copyright Office and publish the details here — safe harbour depends on it.]
